HITCH (a collaboration of Hudson River HealthCare Open Door Family Medical Center and Institute for Family Health) seeks a full-time Regional Coordinator of Cancer Services Program. This position will serve as the coordinator of the NYSDOH Cancer Services Program (CSP) partnership of the Hudson Valley Region. Essential responsibilities will be to coordinate the planning, implementation and evaluation of efficient and effective programmatic activities and administrative systems in a timely manner; manage the operation of all program components; recruit, develop and supervise technically diverse staff; develop and monitor program budget; develop and implement procedures to refer all eligible men and women in need of treatment for breast, cervical, colorectal, or prostate cancer for enrollment in NYS Medicaid Cancer Treatment Program . Coordinator will be responsible for building and maintaining collaborative relationships with clinical service providers, health, human service and other community organizations to provide and promote utilization of cancer screening services among the priority populations throughout the five-county service area.

Requirements |

Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in public health, nursing, social work or human services with two years progressively responsible experience devoted to program management in a public health, health regulatory or human services organization or public health/ human services. RN with two years experience in program management preferred. Candidate must be knowledgeable about health care systems and the breath of community resources; possess strong leadership and communication skills; familiar with medical terms and clinical settings; and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Must have valid NYS driver’s license and be able to travel throughout the service area.
